Professional Psychology Practicum (PPP)

The Professional Psychology Practicum is a program within the Behavior Analysis Training System (BATS) that provides excellent field training for graduate students.  Completion of the practicum provides students with the necessary experience to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The practicum also provides graduate students with the necessary hours of supervised training.

Participating students will work at Croyden Avenue School, working with children ages 2-6 who are diagnosed with a variety of early childhood developmental delays including, but not limited to:  Autism, Speech and Language Delays, or Cognitive Impairments. Within Croyden Avenue School the students have the opportunity to gain discrete trial experience, write procedures and supervise their implementation, monitor and provide feedback to undergraduate students performing discrete trial therapy, and write the individualized programs for a student in the Early Childhood Developmentally Delayed classroom.  Wow, where else can you get such great experience!?!

The supervisor of this system is Stephanie Bates.  If you have any questions or would like more information on PPP, email her at Stephanie.l.bates@wmich.edu.
